New Oregon Home Build After 1 Year

This month marks the one year anniversary from when we moved in to our new Oregon home. We are settled in, but have continued to have many projects around the house; one of which is the mudroom.

We originally had priced for cabinets and a drop zone area in the mudroom, but decided to hold off and do it ourselves for much less. Also, we were able to customize the area to fit our needs. The cabinets and bench are in; next is painting it.

The biggest project after moving in to our house was the landscaping, we did last spring and summer. Our house was completed in winter, so we had to wait several months for the dirt to become workable before we could put in irrigation and grass. Once the landscaping was in we put up a fence in front of the house as well.

We’ve also completed a few small projects such as changing out more of the light fixtures and building a covered area on the side of the house to store things.

We had a couple of warranty issues that were taken care of this past year, but nothing major.

We’ve seen all four season in this house now and are hoping to see many more!
