Adair Homes New Home Projects

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, so I haven’t been able to do a post recently. We have been busy working on our yard and mudroom.

We put a bench in the mudroom and plan to put shelves and partitions for a locker type feel.

The irrigation in the yard has been installed. They’ve graded the yard and it’s ready for top soil and grass seed.

Adair Homes Broken Door Warranty Fix

The last time I had an opportunity to post we were having a warranty issue. One of the doors hinges had fallen out. We had a very easy time getting it fixed. With Adair Homes they have a warranty request form on their website. We made our request, a couple of days later we were contacted by the construction team and they set up a time to get the door repaired. He came out and was in and out in no time.

One thing you do want to look at when choosing a home builder is the warranty. Not all home builders provide a warranty and some provide a limited lifetime structural warranty.  Obviously, you hope that nothing goes wrong and you don’t have issues once you move in, but having a good warranty can help ease your mind.

There are always going to be small things that need to be fixed, but if anything major happens you want to make sure that it’ll get corrected.

Other Home Projects

The projects around the house continue. We will hopefully be getting a lawn in the next couple of weeks. Once the lawn is in place we will put a fence up on the sides of the house and continue to work on the garden area.

Inside the house we changed out another light in the front room, which is supposed to be a formal dining room, but we haven’t been using it as that. We’re not exactly sure how we want to use that space. We’re thinking of using it more as a homework type room with a desk.

Slowly but surely the house is becoming more of a home.
